We stayed here first in July 2004, just after Val and Roy opened. We loved the hospitality and the great food. This time we were supposed to stay for one week but have extended our stay to 11 days. We’ve dined every night and Roy and Val have re-inspired us about the possibilities of vegetarian and vegan cooking. Just when we thought we have seen it all they showed us dozens of new and exciting dishes.

Being a Vegan in France is obviously extremely difficult so it was a pleasant surprise to find somewhere that would cater for me. With the added difficulty of also being a fussy eater it was nice that Val and Roy gave me the opportunity to let them know what I did and didn’t like in advance. We were not disappointed – the food at Les Battées was excellent. Even my omnivorous partner loved it, especially the gorgeous home-made cake for dessert – yum! The accommodation was also superb – we had the most beautiful room with an enormous and very comfortable bed. The bathroom was beautiful too. All this in the peace and quiet of the French countryside. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Tout les grandes serviettes de bains aux délicieuses confitures maison en passant par la profusions des oreillers et le goût charmant avec lequel la maison est arrangée contribue au bonheur de ceux qui y sejournnent.
